Kia launches first Seltos SUV in India, know price and features: South Korean automaker Kia Motors has launched its first SUV Celtos (#KiaSeltos) in the Indian market. This car of the company had been waiting for a long time among the car lovers. At Auto Expo 2018, Kia introduced its concept car for the first time. The South Korean company launched its SUV in India at a time when the country’s auto market is going through a phase of lethargy.
Kia Seltos Starting price is just 9.69 Lakh
The initial price of Kia’s Seltos has been kept by the company at Rs 9.69 lakh. While the initial price of MPV XL6 launched by Maruti a day ago is Rs 9.79 lakh. Booking of Celtos has been started from July 16 on behalf of the company. More than 6000 people had booked the car on the first day. So far, the booking number has reached 32035.
Kia Seltos Engine specification
Talking about the engine of Celtos, it has been launched with 3 engine options. It has a 1.5 liter petrol and diesel engine as well as a 1.4 liter turbo GDI petrol motor. The 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engine generates power of 115 p.m. At the same time, the 1.4-liter turbo GDI motor generates power of 140 PS and torque of 242 neuters. The Celtos also features a 6-speed manual gearbox as well as a 6-speed torque converter and 7-speed DCT.
Car will target youth
This is the first time in the compact SUV segment, when a model will be available in two design options. The tech line will come with a more premium and family-oriented styling package. The styling of the GT line is sporty, designed to target the youth.

This SUV with great looks is equipped with some features that will be seen for the first time in any car in this segment. The Seltos will compete with SUVs such as the Tata Harrier, MG Hector and Hyundai Creta in the market. The Celtos SUV has been launched in two different design lines (Tech Line and GT Line).
Will be sold in 160 cities
Kia Motors India will start selling Celtos in 160 cities. Kia Motors India has 265 touchpoints opened across the country. Here, along with Celtos, other vehicles of Kia will be serviced in the coming time.
