Maruti S-Presso also surpassed the Brezza in sales! 10,634 units sold in a month: The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki launched the mini SUV S-Presso on the occasion of this festive season, launching a new segment in the domestic market. The starting price of this new mini SUV has been fixed at just Rs 3.69 lakh, while its top variant is priced at Rs 4.91 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In the last October, this small SUV has also overtaken the Vitara Brezza in terms of sales.
As per the October sales report, the company has sold a total of 10,634 units of S-Presso. In the same month, 10,227 units of Brezza have been sold. However, the Vitara Brezza has been the best-selling compact SUV in its segment. S-Presso has been prepared by the company on the Future-S concept presented at Auto Expo 2018.
In all variants of Maruti S-Presso, the company has used a 1.0-liter K10B petrol engine. This engine is designed according to BS6 standards. Which generates 68PS power and 90Nm torque. The same engine was also used by the company in the Alto K10. A 5 speed gearbox is used in it. The car is available in a total of variants including Std, LXi, VXi and VXi +.
The company claims that the STD and LXI variants of the S-Presso provide a mileage of 21.4 kmpl. At the same time, its VXI, VXI +, AGS (auto gear shift) variants give a mileage of 21.7 kmpl. The car primarily competes with the Renault Kwid in its price segment.
