7th Pay Commission: After retirement, central employees will get a chance to work here
7th Pay Commission: Even after retirement to the central employees, the government has decided to give alternative employment opportunities. The Pension and Pensioners Welfare Department has issued a circular saying that retired central employees can serve in the Indian Red Cross Society. Retired employees will have to fill only one form to join this organization working as an assistant in the medical services of government and military forces. Central employees residing in Delhi, NCR can apply to work in this institution contributing at the time of disaster. Such employees will also be given a fixed honorarium per month.
The President of the country is the ex-officio President of this institution. According to the order, employees working below the rank of section officer cannot apply for it. The job will be for the Red Cross Society’s national headquarters in Delhi and will be a full-fledged contract job. The Red Cross Society has 1,100 branches across the country.
In the event of an emergency or disaster in the country, the Red Cross Society provides assistance. This organization is part of the International Red Cross Movement. The Indian Red Cross Society was established in India by passing an act in 1920. The president of this organization, which delivers the message of peace through humanity around the world, is the president, while the health minister has the responsibility as chairman.
The national team of this society consists of 19 members, by which the Vice President of the Society is selected. Apart from this, the Chairman and 6 other members of the Society are appointed by the President. Apart from this, the other 12 members are elected by the Red Cross Society Unit of the states. The Secretary General of the committee is the Chief Executive Officer of the Red Cross Society.
