“Anyone who reads the news knows who they stand for, who knows who’s going to break India, and you know that a CRPF Jawan is supporting those who are feasting every time he dies. She knew she was standing behind people who attacked some girls in their private parts. It is her right to stand up for them. I can’t question her right to stand up to people who beat girls, ”said Smriti Irani, addressing Deepika Padukone.
Deepika Padukone visited Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi on Tuesday. She arrived on campus at 7.30pm and was there for about 15 minutes. Deepika greeted JNU student union president Aishi Ghosh and several other students who were injured in Sunday’s attack. She spoke with them for a while. Deepika, who arrived in the black market, expressed solidarity with the students.
However, some BJP leaders have opposed the issue of solidarity with JDU students. BJP leader Tajinder Bugg has called for the boycott of Deepika Padukone’s new film ‘Chapak’. Deepika Padukone has been criticized for supporting the ‘Thukde Thukde Gang’. He and several other BJP leaders criticized Deepika. However, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar responded to the criticism of BJP leaders. No one can oppose it.
