Chandrayaan 2 Landing Today: Chandrayaan 2 lunar lander vikram all set to land on sept 7: As the needles of the clock are moving, the beats of one and a half billion Indians are also getting faster. Chandrayaan-2’s lander ‘Vikram’, which went on a trip to the moon about a month and a half ago, is just a few hours away from creating history. The lander will land on the moon between one and a half to two and a half hours between Friday and Saturday. The eyes of India as well as the whole world are waiting to witness this achievement. With this achievement, India will become the fourth country to do so. So far only the US, Russia and China have landed their moon.
Chandrayaan-2 was launched from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh on 22 July. It was launched with the help of ISRO’s heaviest rocket GSLV-Mark 3. At the moment, all the important stages before landing have been crossed. On September 2, the lander was separated from the vehicle’s orbiter. After this, on 3 and 4 September, its orbit was reduced (de-orbiting) and it was brought closer to the moon. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) chief K.K. In the words of Sivan, now the toughest moment of this whole campaign is going to come. This moment is also complicated because ISRO has not yet made a soft landing in space.
What has yet to happen?
The process of landing the lander on the moon will be started between one to two o’clock on the intervening night of September 6-7. ISRO chief Sivan says that the lander will land on the moon in the same way as flying saucers are depicted in science fiction films. With the help of the camera on the lander, his computer-software will decide for itself exactly where to land. Four hours after landing of the lander, the rover ‘Pragyan’ will also come out of it.
Just Chandrayaan 2 in every mind
As if sleep has disappeared from the eyes of ISRO scientists. Nobody is saying anything, but in every mind there are only things related to Chandrayaan-2. A senior ISRO official associated with the campaign said, “This is what is on everyone’s mind what is going on Chandrayaan-2 and its lander.” Let’s pray for its successful landing. ‘ Scientists have also expressed confidence of 100 percent successful landing.
PM Modi will see landing with students
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be present at ISRO’s headquarters in Bengaluru to witness this historic achievement. During this time around 60 to 70 students from all over the country will also witness this moment with them. Different states have chosen these students through competition.
The way for humans to settle on the moon will open
US space agency NASA astronaut Jerry Linanger says that this lunar mission of India will not only increase its science and technology capability, but it will also open the way for humans to settle on the moon. Chandrayaan-2 will confirm the water here. If there was water at the south pole of the moon, that area could be quite suitable for human missions. Lineanger has come to India to participate in the live telecast program of Chandrayaan-2 by National Geographic Channel.
