Google Doodle: Vikram Sarabhai was more than a scientist for his Friends:

Google has made a Google Doodle on his 100th birth anniversary. He was one of the greatest scientists of India. He was born on 12 August 1919. He was one of the few scientists of his time who helped the scientists working with him and especially the young scientists to progress. This was the reason that he (Vikram Sarabhai) was also considered a better leader. Sarabhai established the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) in Ahmedabad in 1947. Let us know that Google pays tribute to the big personalities of different fields by making a Google Doodle who has made a big contribution to society.

Vikram Sarabhai’s Father

Sarabhai’s father was an industrialist and he got financial help from his father for this center of physical science studies and research. At that time Sarabhai was just 28 years old, but within a few years he made PRL a world-class institution. Sarabhai was also awarded the Padma Vibhushan Award in the year 1966 for his better work.

Father of Indian Space Program

Sarabhai (Vikram Sarabhai) is also considered the father of the Indian space program. He was also awarded the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Medal in 1962. He died on December 30, 1971, near the same place where he had tested India’s first rocket. In the last week of December, he arrived in Thumba to test a Russian rocket and died while sleeping at night in a resort in Kovalam Beach.
