Independence Day 2019: know how security arrangements are around Red Fort, you should also be alert: BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, NSG, SPG, Airforce and Delhi Police are fully prepared to deal with every possible terrorist threat on Independence Day. Police and security agencies are apprehensive that the terrorists may disturb the Independence Day on the occasion of the removal of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.
Impeachable security from Prime Minister’s residence to Lal Qila
The capital has been converted into an impregnable fort. To demolish the plan of terrorists, not only impenetrable security arrangements have been made from the Prime Minister’s residence at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg to Lal Quila, but the security arrangements have been made in the entire Delhi so much that even the dead could not be killed. Police and Para Military have been deployed on the scene.
All boundaries of Delhi sealed from midnight at Independence Day 2019
According to Delhi Police spokesperson and DCP Central District Mandeep Singh Randhawa, there will be vigilance from ground to sky. All boundaries of Delhi were sealed at 12 midnight on Wednesday. Not a single commercial vehicle will be allowed to enter Delhi. Private vehicles are also allowed to enter Delhi only after intensive search.
Airstrikes can be demolished in minutes
Entry aircraft and air defense guns have been installed on the roofs of more than five dozen tall buildings such as Red Fort, ISBT, Geeta Colony Flyover, Civic Center (Corporation Headquarters), so that no one can attack the Red Fort in and around the sky. With these weapons, the air attack can be destroyed in minutes. Security was reviewed around the Red Fort through an army helicopter.
Delhi on high alert for one month
Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik has already visited all the 15 districts and has instructed the police officers and personnel to be vigilant. Delhi has been on high alert for a month. Additional security arrangements have been made in central Delhi and New Delhi in the surrounding areas including the Red Fort. The security agencies, para military and Delhi Police took possession of the capital at midnight on Wednesday.
Attention heightened at sensitive sites
The vigil has been increased at sensitive sites including all markets and major establishments. Security personnel have also been increased at the airport. Security agencies have received general inputs that terrorists can sneak into the crowd and attack anywhere.
Additional police vigilance at these places
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unfurl the tricolor at the Red Fort. With this, VVIP movement will also be held at places like Rajghat and Gandhi Memorial. Therefore, additional vigilance of police will remain in those places. The NSG and SPG have also taken over the security.
Watching every call to and from Pakistan and Afghanistan
Security personnel were deployed on all the high buildings around the Red Fort on Wednesday. They are watching every person from the heights with a high-speed telescope. The surveillance team has also been alerted. The Special Cell is listening to every incoming and outgoing calls from outside the country and especially to Pakistan and Afghanistan through interception.
Strict instructions to those living in front of Red Fort
Scaffolding and fronts have been erected in the 10 km radius of the Red Fort, where para military personnel have been deployed armed with sophisticated weapons like LMG and MP5. People living in all the houses in front of the Red Fort have been strictly instructed to keep the doors and windows of their houses closed till the program ends. Police officers and personnel of all the districts have been asked to continuously patrol the streets and keep an eye on every person.
