The delegation included PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, Shah Faizal, Sajjad Lone, Imran Ansari. These leaders sought time to meet the Governor late at night. The governor immediately gave them time.
Confusion among the People of Kashmir
The delegation, citing advisory issued on Amarnath Yatris, said that this has created confusion among the people of Kashmir. The governor assured the delegation that the security forces have received some important and confirmed information that the terrorists may attack the Amarnath pilgrims.
He has assured that the army and security forces are capable of thwarting any attack by terrorists and will not let any of their nefarious intentions succeed.
The governor said that it is the responsibility of the government to provide security to all the pilgrims. It has also been ensured that no terrorists target any tourists and devotees. That is why this advisory was issued. There is no benefit from spreading uncontrollable unrest and flipping the issue. There is no justification for making all the issues raised under security.
