Sourav Ganguly: I want to become coach of Indian team in future: Former captain of the Indian team Sourav Ganguly said on Friday that he wants to become the coach of Team India in the future but is not interested in this responsibility position at the present time.

According to PTI, during an event in Kolkata on Friday, Sourav Ganguly said, “Let this round come out, I will join this race …. For the time being I am involved with many things, let me deal with them all. Sometime I will stake a claim for the position of coach. Obviously I’m interested in it but not now. ‘

Cricket Association of Bengal

Sourav Ganguly, 47, is currently the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal and is associated with the IPL franchise ‘Delhi Capitals’ as a consultant. Apart from this he also hosts Cricket Comentari and a popular Bengali television show.

At this time the search for a new coach for the Indian team is going on as the tenure of the current coach Ravi Shastri will be completed after the tour of West Indies. Captain Virat Kohli has openly supported Ravi Shastri for the new coach. Kapil Dev, chairman of the committee that selected the coach, also said that Virat Kohli Rai needs to be respected.

On the chances of the Indian team’s victory on the West Indies tour, the former captain said that the Indian team will face a tough challenge on the West Indies tour as the West Indies are the world champions in the T20 and they beat England 2–1 this year.
