In Hinduism, Rakshabandhan is a tradition to celebrate the festival of Shravan Poornima. This time Shravan Purnima is falling on two days i.e. 14-15 August. The Purnima day of the month of Savan is considered auspicious and holy.

Tapas and donations made on this day have a lot of importance. There is a law to do special worship of Lord Shiva every day in Sawan. But on Shiva Puja and Jalabhishek on the last day of Sawan month i.e. Purnima, special merit is attained.

Importance of Shravan Purnima (Shravan Purnima Significance): It is believed that worshiping on the day of Shravan Purnima provides freedom from Chandradosh. On this day, the work of charity and charity is also important. On the day of Shravan Purnima, many people also do the work of wearing janeu and wearing new janeu. This tradition is also prevalent in the neighboring country Nepal.

On this day, along with Lord Shiva, there is also a law to worship Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi. The Purnima date of Shravan is celebrated in the south as Naryali Purnima and Avani Avittam and in central India it is celebrated as Kajri Poonam and in Gujarat as a holy place.

Shravan Purnima Vrat and Puja Vidhi (Shravan Purnima Vrat Vidhi) – Well, Purnima fast is observed every month. But Shravan Purnima Vrat has been said to have a lot of importance. On this day, there is a law to worship Sapta Rishis. This fast is believed to fulfill Vedic functions. According to the Narada Purana, on the Purnima day of the month of Shravan, the gods, sages and fathers should be paid.

On this day, mustard and rice should be kept in red cloth, tied with red thread and watered with water and kept in copper vessel. After this, Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva and other deities and deities should be worshiped. Then a bundle should be tied on your hand with a Brahmin. After doing this work, the Brahmins should be made to satisfy themselves by giving them food and donations.
