The air strike was carried out by the Indian Air Force on 14 February 2019 in an attempt to avenge the Pulwama Terror Attack on the CRPF convoy in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. 40 CRPF personnel were killed in the terror attack in Pulwama. Immediately after this attack, the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Muhammad, which operates from Pakistan, released a video and claimed responsibility for the attack. In response to this terrorist attack, India killed 170–200 terrorists by dropping a bomb at Jaish’s hideout in Balakot. Many commanders were also piled into it.

Balakot Airstrike

The entire plan of Balakot Airstrike was planned in a highly confidential manner. Only a few people knew about it. After midnight in bad weather, Indian Air Force fighter aircraft flew at very low altitude and entered inside Pakistan and carried out this air strike. The entire operation was successfully completed in a few minutes.

Pakistan’s retaliation failed

IAF jawans of the Indian Air Force demolished the Jaish-e-Muhammad’s terrorist hideout in Balakot, Pakistan in the early hours of 26 February. Due to this, on 27 February, Pakistan sent its fighters to attack the military bases of India. It also included American F-16 aircraft. But once again he had to be defeated and Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Current killed the Pakistan Army F-16 from the MiG-21. Abhinandan’s plane also crashed and fell into the Pakistani border. Pakistan had taken them hostage, but had to leave safely within 48 hours.
