Assam NRC final list to be published today future of 41 lakh people will be decided: The fate of 41 lakh people living in Assam is to be decided today. The final list of National Register of Citizens (NRC) will be released today. In such a situation, the atmosphere of tension in the people here is worrying about their future in the hope of not being named in the list.

High alert in the state

The entire state has been kept on high alert due to the atmosphere of fear among the people, but people need not fear. The central government has already made it clear that those who lose their citizenship will not be sent to the detention center. During this period, 55 companies of central security forces have been withdrawn from Jammu and Kashmir. They were sent to Jammu and Kashmir last month. They have been installed in different areas of the state in view of security.

No one needs to fear: Center

The Home Ministry has appealed to the people not to believe in any rumors related to the final list of NRC. The ministry has made it clear that a person’s inclusion in the list does not mean that he has been declared as a foreigner. The ministry said that all those left out of the final list can appeal to foreign tribunals. The number of foreign tribunals is being increased.

Tight security in the state

According to police officials, security has been tightened throughout Assam. Section 144 has been imposed in sensitive areas of the state. 14 districts have been declared sensitive.
