If we talk about the statistics of the world, then the number of patients infected with corona is 6 lakh 49 thousand 904, while 1 37 thousand 283 people have been cured of this disease during treatment. Corona has made more than 30 thousand people its victims all over the world.
Maharashtra has reported the highest number of corona cases at 210. In this, 25 people have been treated and 5 people have died.
After this the number comes from Kerala. 187 cases have been registered here. The first death due to corona virus was recorded in Kerala on Saturday. A 69-year-old man died during treatment at Ernakulam Medical College in Kerala on Saturday. The number of patients suffering from corona in Delhi is 49. On Saturday, a Yemeni citizen died in Delhi during treatment.
Meanwhile, the central government said on Saturday that India’s response to dealing with Kovid-19 has been very active. Appreciating the country’s efforts to overcome the virus outbreak, the government said that India had adopted a comprehensive response system on its borders even before the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a health emergency.
Decisions like the suspension of visas, screening of passengers coming to India by air and banning international flights were taken much earlier than any other country.
The first case of corona virus was reported in India on 30 January, while thermal screening of international travelers coming from China and Hong Kong started from 18 January.
The government said, looking at the global scenario, Italy and Spain, which were badly affected by Kovid-19, started screening passengers after 25 days and 39 days respectively after the previously reported case.
The central government has taken a number of restrictive measures to prevent corona infection, including travel restrictions, adding more countries and airports for screening, suspension of visas and effective measures for self-isolation, preventing the spread of the disease, etc.
