Corona Virus Relif Fund: Wipro, Azim Premji Foundation contribute Rs 1,125 crore in the war against Corona virus
After Tata, Ambani, Adani, Wipro has also opened its treasury in the war against Corona. Wipro Limited, Wipro Enterprises Limited and Azim Premji Foundation have announced to contribute Rs 1,125 crore to the ongoing campaign against the Corona virus in the country. The company gave this information in a statement released on Wednesday. The company said that this would help the health workers fighting on the front before the infection.
The company said that Wipro Limited contributed Rs 100 crore, Wipro Enterprises contributed Rs 25 crore and Azim Premji Foundation contributed Rs 1,000 crore. The statement said this is different from the contribution of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the Azim Premji Foundation.
KIOCL to contribute Rs 10 crore to PM-Cares fund
Public sector company KIOCL will contribute Rs 10 crore to the PM-Cares fund to fight the corona virus epidemic in India. KIOCL Chairman and Managing Director MV Subba Rao said that the employees of the company have also paid one-day salary in this fund. He said that 10.1 crore rupees is being contributed to fight the epidemic. Apart from this, essential commodities and food are also being made available to the people living around the company’s plants.
