AYODHYA CASE LIVE: MUSLIM SIDE LAWYER RAJIV DHAWAN HAD TO APOLOGIZE IN COURT, KNOW WHY
New Delhi: In the 27th day hearing of the Ayodhya Ramjanmabhoomi and Babri Masjid dispute, the lawyer of the Muslim side, Rajiv Dhawan has said that all the witnesses came out after the 1949 trial, but no one knows why people used to go to rallying. The witnesses said in the court that both Hindus and Muslims worshiped at that place, I did not read in any book that since when they were worshiping together, both used to go there during the era of Aurangzeb. Dhawan said in connection with the testimony of a witness from a Hindu side, that there was no statue in the sanctum sanctorum in 1939, there was just a photo.
Dhawan said that there is no evidence of worship of the statue and the sanctum sanctorum. Justice Bhushan said that it is not fair to say that Hindus worshiped the sanctum sanctorum, there is no evidence of this. On this, the court told Dhawan that a witness named Ram Surat Tiwari has asked to worship at that place from 1935 to 2002, you are presenting evidence by distorting. No one can twist the evidence. Responding to this, Dhawan said that I am not manipulating the evidence.
Meanwhile, Rajiv Dhawan called the judge’s tone of question offensive, however, he later apologized for it. In fact, Justice Ashok Bhushan questioned the witness who claimed to have seen the statue inside the building in 1935. Dhawan said that untrustworthy statements should not be discussed. At the same time, the judge said that discussion can be done on everything. How to see the matter, it is the work of the court. On this, Dhawan told Justice that your tone is offensive. I was afraid of it. Justice Chandrachud and advocate Vaidyanathan objected to Dhawan’s attitude. After which Dhawan immediately apologized to the court.
