Narmada River Alert: Narmada Dame Over Flow, first time touched surface of 131.20:

Narmada, the lifeline of Gujarat, has grown. Its dame waters have touched a surface of 131.20 meters for the first time. By which the doors of the dame have been opened. This situation has been created due to heavy rains in Upvas. The 10 doors of the Dame were opened late Thursday due to high water flow.
6 lakh cusecs of water released
A total of 6 lakh cusecs of water was released from the 24 doors of the dam. 5.50 lakh cusecs are coming in from the upper reaches of the dam. In view of these conditions, the villagers have been warned by the administration not to go to the banks of the river.
CM Vijay Rupani arrives at Narmada Dame
On release of water from Narmada Dame, on Friday, CM Vijay Rupani and Deputy CM Nitin Patel reached Narmada Dame. Here they were told that 6 to 8 lakh cusecs of water has been released from the dam.
10 officers posted
Dame has 29.745 mcm of water collection late on Thursday. 8 lakh cusecs of water was released from Narmada Dame due to increase in arrival of water due to heavy rains in the upper areas. Due to this, a high alert has been issued to the villagers on the banks of the river. 10 First Class officers have been deployed for the 42 villagers of the banks. Other units are also being reconciled.
250 MW two turbines operating
In the upper reaches of Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam, 5.50 lakh cusecs of water is flowing. It is increasing by 23 cm per hour. To curb this, two 250 MW turbines of the River Bed Power House, which has been closed for two years, have been commissioned. With this, the production of electricity has started, along with releasing water.
Traffic off Gora Bridge
Traffic from Gora village bridge has been stopped when water was released from Narmada Dame. This bridge is also called the Dubadub Bridge. The railing of this bridge is also removed in the rain. This is the first bridge of Narmada Dame, which is made of stones. The Collector of Vadodara district has prohibited the movement of this bridge.
