India Plan to introduce Chip passport: What’s the benefit of E-Passport? :- The central government is working on the plan to issue e-passports with modern security features like chip. This chip in the passport book will store the personal details of the applicant.

In a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muralidharan told that if anybody chases this chip, then the system will recognize it and the passport will not be verified. He informed that the Government has granted the India Securities Press (ISP) to buy electronic contact items for e-passport production.

In this regard, the ISP has also been authorized to issue three-tier global tender. Muralitharan said that e-passport production will start only after ISP completes the procurement process. In response to another question, he said that 1.08 crore in 2017 and 1.12 crore passports were issued in 2018.

Know- About E-Passport

The e-passport chip will contain information such as your name, address, date of birth, and many unique things like your fingerprints, i-retina and your face photo will be installed. You will not be able to change your identity in these ways. The way in the Aadhaar card is identified through fingerprints, i-retina and photographs in the same way in the passport.

All fridges will be closed from e-passport

All passes related to passport will be closed after the e-passport arrives. It would be very difficult to misuse anyone’s passport for vicious fraud from the vicious circle. Along with that, it will be quite easy for users too. It happens so many times that the information written on your passport does not appear clearly and at that time it takes a lot of time to check in.

All personal information from users will remain secure

After the introduction of e-passport, any user will not have any such problem as all personal information from users will be quite secure within the electronic chip. In this case, the investigators will also check the chip only, in which they will be clearly seen and your passport will be checked very fast.
