Jammu and Kashmir Issue: Petition to challenge Modi government’s decision on 370 in Supreme Court:
The process of removing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir has been challenged in the Supreme Court. Lawyer Manohar Lal Sharma has said in his petition that the amendment in Article 367 by the government to remove Article 370 is unconstitutional. The government acted in an arbitrary and unconstitutional manner. The Supreme Court has been demanded to cancel this notification as unconstitutional.

Advocate Manohar Lal Sharma has approached the Supreme Court that the notification to remove Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir is against the basic spirit of the Constitution. Manohar Lal Sharma can appeal to the immediate hearing on his petition on Wednesday. This petition says that the amendment in Article 367 by the government to remove Article 370 is unconstitutional. The petitioner has alleged that the government’s move is arbitrary and unconstitutional. He said that the Supreme Court should declare this notification as unconstitutional.
Manohar Lal Sharma has said in his petition that the government cannot amend the constitution without following parliamentary and legislative rules.
Jammu and Kashmir an integral part of India- Amit Shah
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday again said in the Lok Sabha that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Aksai Chin are a part of it. Responding to questions of Congress leader in the Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, Shah said that the BJP leader will give his life to get the PoK and he said that whenever he mentions Jammu and Kashmir, then it is in Pakistan and China. Occupied territories are included.
