Jammu and Kashmir: Restrictions Relaxed In Parts Of J&K For Eid, Security Alert Issued In Jammu And Kashmir: Today is the first festival after the removal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. Today Eid-ul-Juha is being celebrated all over the country. The administration has made concrete arrangements to celebrate this festival with great pomp in the valley. People today have been allowed to offer Namaz in mosques. At the same time, 2 lakh 50 thousand sheep and goats have been made available for sacrifice on Bakrid.
The administration has made complete preparations to celebrate the festival peacefully throughout Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir administration has set up 300 special telephone booths for the people, so that the students of Jammu and Kashmir living in different parts of the country including Delhi and Aligarh can talk to their families and celebrate Bakrid.
Decision to keep the bank open on holiday and keep the ATM running
Special arrangements have been made in Jammu and Kashmir for the common people to not have any problem with food and drinking. In Kashmir, 3,557 out of 3,697 ration stores have been opened. From here common people can shop for ration. Vegetables, LPG, chicken and eggs are being transported to the doorsteps of people through mobile vans. Also, it has been decided to keep the bank open on holiday and to keep the ATM running.
Apart from this, the salaries of the employees of Jammu and Kashmir are being released. Special arrangements have been made for common people to have no problem with food and everyday items. For this, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has sufficiently stocked the necessary articles of daily use. Tight security arrangements have also been made for Jammu and Kashmir should there be no incident of any kind.
BJP will organize Eid Milan program
Today, Bakrid will also be celebrated in Jammu. On this occasion, Eid prayers will be offered at many places in Jammu. At the same time, the state BJP will organize Eid Milan program today. On this occasion, BJP’s state head Ravindra Raina will celebrate Eid with Muslim community in the border area RSpura.
Governor congratulated people on Eid-ul Juha
Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik on Sunday congratulated the people of Eid-ul-Juha and wished him well and prosperity. The CRPF helpline based in Srinagar has released a new number for the people on Sunday. This number is especially for those in Kashmir who need help for their family or who are in trouble after the abolition of the provisions of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. The ‘helpful’ helpline issued a message on Twitter saying that people can call her mobile number 9469793260 for ‘any kind of support or information’.
