Governor Satyapal Malik met with a delegation of political parties of the state late Friday. During this, he advised leaders to stay calm and not to pay attention to rumors. The governor asked political leaders to maintain peace with their supporters and not to rely on rumors.
PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, Jammu Kashmir People’s Movement chief Shah Faisal and People’s Conference leader Sajjad Lone met the Governor amid changing circumstances in the valley.
A statement issued from the Raj Bhavan said that the delegation has expressed concerns about the situation in the Kashmir Valley due to the developments in the day, including the advisory issued by the government. The government has asked Amarnath pilgrims and tourists to return as soon as possible.
The statement said that Governor Malik told the delegation that the security agencies have serious and reliable information regarding the terrorist attacks on the Amarnath Yatra. In this context, the government issued a consultation and asked the passengers and tourists to return as soon as possible.

Malik said, “Clearly the steps taken in the security are being linked to other issues which have no relation with it.” That is the reason for fear. He requested the leaders not to confuse matters with their supporters, to maintain peace and not to rely on rumors. According to the statement, the Governor himself had cleared himself on the issue of Article 35A in Srinagar yesterday and before that in a day before.
