Amidst the rising case of Corona virus in Maharashtra, people are not deterred from breaking the lockdown. The police team which had stopped the people going to join the collective prayers in Aurangabad, Maharashtra was pelted with stones. Three policemen have been injured in this. 31 people have been arrested in the case. Curfew has been imposed in the area in view of tension.
According to the information, about 100 people were going to offer Namaz in a mosque located at Sambhaji Marg. The police first stopped them and appealed to return to their respective homes citing lockdown. During this, some people erupted. The injured policemen have been admitted to the Valley Hospital in the district. These include one officer and two constables.
Suddenly people started throwing stones
The crowd suddenly started throwing stones at the police. On receiving information, when the police team arrived to investigate the incident, people started throwing stones. 31 people were arrested in this connection. In this case a case has been registered under breaking lockdown, obstructing police work, stone pelting and other sections. Police investigation is going on.
Attack on policemen following lockdown in Howrah
On Tuesday, police personnel were attacked in Howrah in Bengal, A news agency when they went to a red zone in the district to observe the lockdown. The chaotic elements in the crowd threw stones at the policemen. A police car was also vandalized.
