Nanded Sadhu Murder: After the brutal killing of sadhus in Palghar, Maharashtra, a case of murder of a monk in Nanded has come to light. This case is related to Umri taluka of Nadend, where the sadhu was killed last night. The police found a body a short distance away from the ashram. Giving this information, Nanded Superintendent of Police Vijaykumar Magar said that on Saturday night, the body of a monk was found in his ashram in Umri, Nanded.

According to the news agency ANI, Vijaykumar Magar further said, ‘The deceased monk and the accused of the murder belong to the same community. There is no communal angle in the murder case.
Vijaykumar Magar said that the accused in the Sadhu murder case has been arrested. He has a criminal record against him. He was a co-accused in a murder case that took place 10 years ago and he has been booked for molestation in the past.
Valuable goods worth one and a half lakh rupees were looted
According to Nanded Superintendent of Police Vijaykumar Magar, two unidentified people entered the ashram late Saturday and threw chili powder in the eyes of Shivacharya Niranvudra Pashupatinath Maharaj, according to news agency IANS. Criminals looted Shivacharya’s car keys, along with his 69,000 rupees, laptop and about one and a half lakh rupees of valuables from his bedroom.
Police found a dead body a short distance away from the ashram
According to Vijaykumar Magar, Shivacharya had a scuffle with him. The miscreants killed him in the meantime. After this, he started running away with the car and the car collided with the main gate of the ashram. Hearing the sound, around 8-10 people from the ashram ran outside, but by then both were able to escape from the motorcycle. The police later found a body a short distance away from the ashram. He is believed to be the partner of the accused.
Last month, two sadhus were killed in Palghar
Last month, three people were killed in Palghar on suspicion of being thieves. Two of them were sages. This incident happened when these people were going from Mumbai’s Kandivali in a car to Surat in Gujarat. This incident is on 17th April. The three were rushed to the hospital where they were declared brought dead.
