Mumbai Terrorist Attack Police Officer Sanjay govilkar Suspended Who Caught Ajmal Kasab Alive:
One of the police officers who caught the terrorist Ajmal Kasab (Ajmal Kasab) accused of the 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attack in 2008 has been suspended by the Mumbai Police. According to the information received, the Mumbai Police Commissioner has suspended PI Sanjay Govilkar and another API Jitendra Singot, who were involved in the team that caught terrorist Ajmal Kasab alive.
Releasing Sohail Bhamla
Both these police officers have been suspended on the charge of releasing Sohail Bhamla, a henchman of Dawood Ibrahim. Lookout notice was issued against Sohail Bhamla. Sohail was detained by the police from Mumbai Airport while returning from Dubai.
Suspended for negligence in work
The two officers working in the Economic Offense Wing (EOW) got caught in an old case and took office, but left after interrogation. After this, Sohail escaped. Police Commissioner Sanjay Barve has suspended both and ordered an inquiry for negligence in work.
Govilkar was stationed at Girgaon Chowpatty during the Mumbai terror attack
At the time of the 26 November 2008 terror attack in Mumbai, PI Sanjay Govilkar was stationed at Girgaon Chowpatty along with the martyred police constable Tukaram Omble. Ombale stopped Kasab’s car coming with fellow terrorists. During this, Omblay became a martyr in an attempt to crack down. At the same time, Govilkar shot a terrorist and Kasab was caught alive. Govilkar has also received the President’s Police Award for bravery shown during the Mumbai terror attack.
