Dadasaheb Phalke Award: Amitabh said on receiving Dadasaheb Phalke Award – Should I sit comfortably at home now?: The century’s great Amitabh Bachchan was honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award by the President of the country, Ramnath Kovind, on 29 December. After receiving the award, Amitabh Bachchan thanked the people of the country along with the Government of India. Amitabh said that I have reached here because of the people of India who gave me so much love.

Amitabh said, ‘President of India Ramnath Kovind ji … Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar ji … Thank you for considering me worthy of this honor. The producers and directors of the film industry have been with me, but the people of India have supported me the most. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award was established 50 years ago and I have been in the film industry for the same number of years.

Is it time to rest?

Amitabh Bachchan said, ‘I accept the award very politely, I express my gratitude. When this award was announced, a doubt arose in my mind whether there was any indication to me that a lot of work was done, now sit back and relax. There is still a lot of work to be done and possibilities are also building up where I will have to work.

Talking about Amitabh Bachchan’s career, he started his career in the year 1969 with seven Hindustani films. In the beginning of his career, he had to face some failures. But in the year 1973, the chained film proved to be the turning point of his career. His image from the film established him as an angry young man in the industry. Since then, the actor has never looked back.
