India-Nepal Tension

As soon as the order to ban the broadcast of Indian news channels in Nepal came on Thursday, the voices of cynicism against the decision of the Government of Nepal have started to rise. Public representatives and local people of the Madhesh region of Nepal adjacent to the border have described this decision as a stress-increasing step. People said that this decision is not appropriate.

Let us know that Multi System Operators (MSOs) have stopped broadcasting other channels in Nepal except Indian news channel Doordarshan. Mega Max TV vice-president Dhruv Sharma said that broadcasting of all Indian news channels, except Doordarshan, has been stopped from Thursday evening. Santosh Pandey, MLA from the Baiharwa region of Nepal, said that the channel distributors have taken such a decision in favor of the Government of Nepal itself. The move will increase tension between the two countries following the channel distributors’ move. No institution should take such a step which affects the relations between the two countries.
