PM Modi celebrates Diwali with soldiers on Poonch LoC: While the people of the country are celebrating the joy of Diwali, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached among them to share the joys of this festival with the Indian soldiers who are ready to protect the border in district Rajouri and Poonch away from their families. At around 10 in the morning, on a special helicopter of the army, the Prime Minister along with the Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat and other military officers reached the headquarters of 25 Div in District Rajouri.
Wished them a happy Diwali
He first met with the military officials to know the situation on the border and later met the soldiers and wished them a happy Diwali. While congratulating Deepawali, the Prime Minister told the soldiers that due to his change, the countrymen are celebrating this festival with families in their homes in a peaceful manner.
Bimbhar Gali sector
After this, the Prime Minister reached Hamirpur along the Line of Control in Bimbhar Gali sector of District Poonch where he spent a lot of time with the soldiers. He greeted the soldiers on Diwali and distributed sweets among them. Prime Minister Narendra Modi went back to the lat at around half past one in the afternoon. The jawans were excited by celebrating Diwali with the Prime Minister. He said that the Prime Minister of the country has come to the LoC and celebrated the festival with them, this has boosted their morale.
