Sujith Wilson lost the battle of life, body was removed from borewell after 72 hours: Two-year-old child Sujith Wilson, who fell into a 25-foot deep borewell on Friday at Nadukattupatti in Tiruchirappalli district of Tamil Nadu, has died. The team officials involved in the rescue work confirmed the death of Innocent. The child was found dead in a borewell after nearly 72 hours of effort.
Tamil Nadu Transport Department Principal Secretary J Radhakrishnan said, ‘The body of a two-year-old child is now in a decomposed state. We tried our best to save him, but unfortunately the borewell started to foul. Wilson’s body was badly damaged inside the borewell. The excavation process has been stopped after the body of the child was recovered.

Radhakrishnan announced that Wilson had died. The body of the child was taken out and sent to the government hospital in Manapparai, later the body was handed over to the parents. As soon as the dead body arrived, mourning prevailed in the village and crowds of people thronged to see the child for the last time. Additional police personnel have been deployed in the village to maintain law and order.
Explain that, soon after Sujith Wilson was reported to have fallen into the borewell, the rescue team reached the spot and used a bulldozer to construct a tunnel by digging the ground adjacent to the borewell to reach Sujith.
Sujith Wilson was trapped in a borewell at a depth of 88 feet for more than 72 hours and concerns about his well-being were already heightened as rescue operations were disrupted due to stony soil and rain. The German machine was also used to speed up the excavation work.
