A female tehsildar was burnt alive in the office at Abdullapurpet in Telangana. In the incident on Monday afternoon, the female tehsildar died on the spot. His car driver also got scorched while trying to save the officer. Another person was also found scorched in the fire, which the police suspected to be the attacker.

Ibrahimpatnam Divisional Revenue Officer Amarender Kumar said- Women officer Vijaya Reddy was alone in his chamber at the time of the incident. The attacker then opened fire on him by pouring petrol on him. Vijaya succumbed to burns due to the fire, while his car driver, who came to save him from burning, also got scorched. He is admitted to the hospital.
Officers Association condemned the incident
Following the incident, Ravinder Reddy, leader of the Revenue Employees Union of Telangana, said- it was a horrific incident and there is no public safety for the employees in the state. At the same time, the President of the Tehsildar Association, Gautam Rao said, “If a female Tehsildar is burnt alive in the office, what can be the worst situation?”
The cause of the incident is not clear at the moment: Police
According to police, at the moment it is not clear why the female officer was burnt. Police have found a man found scorched in the officer’s room as a suspect, but he is currently hospitalized. Police said – only after his condition improves, the situation will be clear regarding the accused of this incident.
