Prayagraj news: Dead Body Of A Youth Found In A Drain Accused Of Murder
Mohammad Arif (30), who lives near the Munna Mosque of Kareli, was found dead in suspicious condition. His body was found in a drain near Andipur Naliya. The family has accused the murder, while police say that the post-mortem report showed death by drowning. Investigation is being done.
Police said that on Saturday morning, the body of a youth was found lying in a drain near Andhipur Pulia. When the passers were informed, the force of Kareli police station reached the spot. By then people around had also gathered. When the body was taken out, a person in the crowd identified the deceased as Arif, who used to do welding work, near the Munna Masjid. When informed, the family members also reached.
There were no bruises on the body, but the family was anticipating the murder. After investigation, the police took the body and sent it for postmortem. The post-mortem report has revealed that Arif’s death was due to drowning in water. Police say that during interrogation the family members have told that Arif was addicted to drugs. He was missing from home for three-four days. Kareli’s in-charge SO Ashutosh Tiwari said that at present, the families have not given any Tahrir. Investigation is being done.
