Akhilesh Singh, suffering from cancer for a long time, breathed his last at the PGI in Lucknow on Tuesday morning. His body will be brought to Lalupur, a native village in Rae Bareli.
Suffered from cancer
Akhilesh Singh was suffering from cancer for a long time. He was also being treated in Singapore. He came to Lucknow-based PGI for routine checkup. Where his health deteriorated and he breathed his last in the early hours of Tuesday.
Akhilesh Singh, who was the uncrowned king of Rae Bareli politics, was ill for a long time. Presently, his political legacy is being handled by Aditi Singh. She became an MLA by winning the assembly elections in 2017 with record votes.
Started political journey from Congress
Please tell that Akhilesh Singh has been an MLA from Rae Bareli seat five times. He started his political journey with Congress. Akhilesh Singh was expelled from the Congress after the Rakesh Pandey murder case. Even after this, many times independent MLAs were elected.
Before the 2012 elections, the Peace Party had joined. During this time, he used to curse the Gandhi family fiercely. It is said that Akhilesh Singh’s fear was such that Congressmen could not even put up posters for fear of him.

Akhilesh Pratap Singh, who was an MLA from Rae Bareli Sadar Assembly, was considered a leader of a domineering image. Born on 15 September 1959, Akhilesh Singh’s political journey began in November 1993, when he was first elected to the Assembly on a Congress ticket.
He was elected a member of the 14th assembly for the third time from the Congress in the 2002 assembly elections. In 2003, the Congress expelled him from the party for criminal matters, after which he used to target the Congress and the Gandhi family. However, in September 2016, His daughter Aditi Singh joined the Congress, i.e. after such a long time, he returned to the Congress in this form.
