Flood havoc in Prayagraj, one lakh people forced to flee, 5 lakh population affected: There is a flood of havoc in Prayagraj of UP these days. Things have become so bad that it has been decided to seek the help of the army. According to an estimate, about 5 lakh population has been affected by the flood and about one lakh people have been forced to flee.
The floods in the Ganges and Yamuna rivers in the Sangam city of Prayagraj have created an outcry. Helicopter help has been sought from the Air Force to evacuate thousands of people stranded in floods. It has also been recommended to increase more teams from NDRF.
Let us tell you that more than five thousand people have taken shelter in flood relief centers. In many places, the situation is so bad that the first floor of people’s homes is completely submerged. School colleges in flood affected areas have been closed.
High alert has been declared in the district in view of floods. The administration has opened flood posts near hundred and tollfree numbers have been issued. However, the administration’s arrangements seem to be very less.
