Indonesia’s meteorological, climatological and geophysical agency BMKG has ruled out a tsunami due to the impact of the Java earthquake. Although initially the intensity of the earthquake shock was stated to be 5.5.
There was an earthquake in Indonesia on 14 September. Strong shocks were felt in many parts of the country. Its intensity on the Richter scale was 5.9. According to the US Geological Survey, earthquake tremors in Indonesia were felt at 4:15 pm local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was 106 km from Liveui at a depth of 10 km from the ground surface.
