Explain that this corridor will connect Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur with Dera Baba Nanak Tirtha in Gurdaspur district of Punjab and will facilitate visa-free movement of Indian pilgrims. In this, only one has to get a permit to go to Kartarpur Sahib.

The statement came from Pakistan about 15 days ago, stating that it would open the Kartarpur Corridor for Indian Sikh pilgrims on November 9, three days before the 550th Guru Nanak Jayanti. Subsequently, a statement by Govind Mohan, Additional Secretary of the Union Home Ministry came out, stating that the movement of devotees will begin on November 11 on the Kartar Corridor.

Pakistan is constructing a corridor from the Indian border to the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, while the other part of Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur is being built by India till the border.
