Haryana Assembly Election 2019: Former BSF jawan Tej Bahadur, who was contesting against Khattar arrest: The dismissed BSF constable Tej Bahadur Yadav, who tried to contest against PM Modi, was arrested in a protest case. According to the information received, Yadav is now accused of demonstrating against the police over the alleged mining mafia Pushpendra Yadav encounter in Jhansi. Pushpendra was killed in an encounter with the UP Police in the past.
Pushpendra’s family members alleged that the police inspector who killed him demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh to leave the seized truck in the name of overloading. According to the charge, in the debate over the same, the SHO opened fire on 25-year-old Pushpendra, which led to his death.
SP MP demanded CBI inquiry:
Samajwadi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP has also demanded a CBI inquiry in this matter. They say that the police has made a fake encounter and a murder case should be registered. At the same time, the police say that during the investigation, Pushpendra had attacked the police along with two of his colleagues, on which he died in counter-firing. Two companions escaped there.
39 people arrested:
According to Jhansi ASP Rahul Mitra, 39 people including Tej Bahadur were arrested under Section 151 (CrPC Section 151) of the Criminal Code. Tej Bahadur Yadav was dismissed from the BSF in 2017. Earlier, he had uploaded a video on social media complaining about the jawans in Jammu and Kashmir getting poor quality food.
