PM Modi in Maharashtra: Challenge the opposition, said- promise to bring back Article 370: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, during a rally in Jalgaon for the Maharashtra Assembly elections, challenged the opposition parties on Article 370. Taking a dig at the government’s decision to repeal Article 370, targeting the opposition parties said that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh is not just a piece of land but the crown of India. Will the people of India accept it? ‘ The PM said, ‘The statements made by Congress-NCP leaders related to Jammu and Kashmir should be heard. They are completely opposite from the whole country. Their thinking is similar to the neighboring country.

Unfortunate opposition to decisions in the interests of India

Addressing the rally, he said that opposition of decisions by some parties and leaders in the interests of India is unfortunate. PM Modi said during this time, ‘On 5 August, as per your wish, we took a decision, which was unthinkable till then. At that time there was a situation where only terrorism, separatism and conspiracy against the ideas of unity and integrity expanded. There was little scope for development of weaker sections in Jammu and Kashmir.

Took necessary measures to ensure normalcy

On Valmiki Jayanti, I am lucky to be able to embrace the ‘Valmiki’ brothers of Jammu and Kashmir. The PM said, ‘You will be surprised to know that our Valmiki brothers in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh were also deprived of human rights for 70 years. Today, I bow before Lord Valmiki that I am getting the privilege of embracing my brothers. ‘ Addressing a rally here, the Prime Minister said that his government has also taken necessary measures to ensure normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh regions.

PM Modi said, ‘Opposition is frustrated with our work of last 5 years. Our opponents are also believing today that the leadership of the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance is not only working, but also energetic. ‘
