Roorkee Municipal Corporation Election Ballot Count LIVE: After the Roorkee Municipal Corporation election, counting of votes is being done at BSM College from 8 am today. The results of the councilor’s posts, including the mayor, will be declared today after the counting of votes. The counting of votes will take place in four stages. Second Stage:

The atmosphere got heated as soon as the second round was counted. So far ahead, BJP rebel Gaurav Goyal (Independent) was defeated by Rishu Rana of Congress. Rishu Rana (Congress) is running on 10371 votes followed by Gaurav Goyal (Independent) 9712, Mayank Gupta (BJP) 7288 votes.

First stage:

Ward 1 to Anju (BSP), Ward 2 to Rajeshwari (BJP), Ward 3 to Devaki Joshi (Independent), Ward 5 to Daya Sharma (BJP), Ward 6 to Rakhi Sharma (BJP), Ward 7 to Baby Khanna (Independent) ), Ward 8 Virendra Gupta (Independent), May 9 to Mayank Pal (BJP), Ward 10 to Pramod Pal (Independent), Ward 11 to Vivek Chaudhary (BJP) and Ward 12 Sachin Chowdhary (Independent), emerged victorious.

In the first phase for the post of Mayor, Independent candidate Gaurav Goyal is running on the number before 1697 votes. Independent Gaurav Goyal is running on 8342 votes, Mayank Gupta 6647 from BJP and Rishu Rana from Congress 5110.

From Ward 8, Ravindra Khanna became the councilor for the fifth consecutive time. The result of Ward 4 has not been declared yet. At the same time, the candidate who lost from Ward 10 had lodged an objection with the District Magistrate. After which the counting of votes was done again. Even after this, Mod Pal (Independent) was victorious. Independent candidate Poonam Devi won from ward four.
