BCCI gives title sponsorship rights to Paytm of team India for next five years again: Paytm, one of the largest digital wallet companies in the country, will retain the title sponsorship of Team India. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has extended its agreement with this company for 5 years. Now by 2023, this company will be associated with Team India. Paytm owner ‘One 97 Communications Pvt Ltd’ retained the sponsorship rights for BCCI’s international and domestic matches on Wednesday, 21 August.
3.80 Crore for Each Match
The bid of each match was Rs 3.80 crore. The BCCI on Wednesday announced the deal with Paytm, which in 2015 acquired these rights for four years. The BCCI said in the statement, the bid was Rs 326.80 crore which was to be given for the 2019-23 domestic season. The winning bid was for Rs 3.80 crore, an increase of 58 percent over the previous match.

BCCI CEO Rahul Johri said in a statement, “I am happy to announce that Paytm will be the title sponsor of the BCCI home series.” Paytm is one of the new generation companies in India. We are proud that Paytm is continuing its commitment with Indian cricket. Paytm founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Verma said, “We are thrilled to continue our long association with the BCCI and the Indian cricket team.” Our commitment with Indian cricket is getting stronger every season.
