Manu Bhaker Wins Gold Medals In Senior Junior 10m Air Pistol Events In National Shooting Championship: Manu Bhaker won gold medals in the Senior and Junior classes of the Women’s 10m Air Pistol at the National Shooting Championship on Tuesday. Seventeen-year-old Manu Bhaker won the title with 243 points in the final of the senior category while topping the junior category with 241 points.
Manu, the young Olympic gold medalist, had scored 588 points in the joint qualification of both the events. In the senior category, Devanshi Dhama won silver while Yashaswini Singh Deswal won bronze. Manu and Yashaswini have already achieved the quota for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Manu Bhaker had achieved the seventh Olympic quota in shooting for India, finishing fourth in the women’s 10m air pistol event of the ISSF World Cup 2019 held in Munich this year. The 17-year-old Manu gave India the Tokyo 2020 Olympic quota with 201.0 points in the final. However, she missed the medal due to a slight difference.
Yashaswini gave India ninth quota
At the same time in May, Yashaswini Deswal won the Gold Medal in the Shooting World Cup being played in Rio de Janeiro, and won India the ninth Olympic quota. 22-year-old Yashaswini Deswal achieved this success in the women’s 10 meter air pistol event.
