NTA NEET Admit Card: NTA prevents admission of NEET, exam postponement: After the postponement of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for Engineering, the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET) for admission in MBBS is also being postponed. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has currently prohibited the issuance of admit cards for NEET.
If top officials of the Ministry of Health are to be believed, the decision on postponing the examination will be taken only after the situation is clear on lockdown. As per predetermined schedule, NEET is scheduled to be held on May 3. This entrance examination will seat more than 15 lakh candidates from across the country.
After the postponement of most entrance examinations including JEE recently, there was a fear in the minds of the candidates that NEET should be postponed. The Health Ministry has clarified that it is not going to postpone NEET immediately. In response to the question of Hindustan, Special Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Arun Singhal said that there is still time in NEET. The NTA is monitoring the case. She will decide according to need.

NTA chairman Vineet Joshi said that for the time being we have stopped issuing admit cards. We are in touch with the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the Ministry of Health. As the situation will be clear on lockdown, we will decide on the exam date. He said that if the conditions did not get worse, we would like the examination to be on time.
