What was the berlin wall?
After the end of the Second World War, Europe was divided into two parts, Communist Eastern and Capitalist Western. The governments of the eastern part were expressing their suzerainty. Between 1949 and 1961, millions of people went from East Germany to West Germany. In response, many countries under Soviet leadership extended border control, including electric current-wire fences and deployment of armed troops.
Meanwhile, Germany was divided into two parts East Germany and West Germany. Simultaneously the capital Berlin was also divided into two parts. But finally this wall was dropped on 9 November 1991.
