Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Review: Should You Buy This Smartphone: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has recently launched Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro in the Indian market. This Xiaomi’s all brand is Redmi’s first flagship smartphone. India has been discussing the price of the Redmi K20 series. Some people said that the company has kept its price high. Some say that the company is not known for expensive smartphones. But first of all tell us that we got the price of Redmi K20 Pro in terms of specifications and features.
Price – Rs. 27,999
After using Redmi K20 Pro for some time, I also felt that this is a smartphone that could affect the sale of other Android flagship. However, there are some of its drawbacks about which you will read this review and understand it yourself.
Design and build quality
There is no problem with the build quality of the phone. Gorilla Glass 5 has been used on the rear panel of body glass. It is also called glass sandwich design. I have reviewed the Glacier Blue variant. The company has really worked on the design and it looks great. The phone gets fit in hand and with one hand you will be able to use it. Rear panels are curved so it is easy to hold. The rear panel is fingerprint magnets, but this is just for the center. There are blue colors on both sides, which do not have many effects from fingerprint.
There is a camera lens at the top of the center on the rear panel, under it there are two lenses in a module and the dual-LED flash light is given below. Redmi’s branding is at the center bottom.
The up side is pop up Selfie and it glows. Headphone jack is also given upstairs. On the right is the red color home button and volume rocker keys. There is a speaker grill in the bottom, with a USB Type C SIM tray here.
Overall, look and feel of Redmi K20 Pro is quite good and it seems completely premium smartphone.
Redmi K20 Pro has a 6.39-inch AMOLED display. The entire front is just a display. Bazels are non-existent, although chin has been given that means you will see bejel below. The screen resolution is full HD Plus, that is 1080X2340. The bottom display is in place of the under-display fingerprint scanner. The phone is locked, the screen is locked, still you can unlock the phone by activating the under display fingerprint by tapping it at the bottom of the display.
Redmi K20 Pro’s display is bright and colorful. Viewing angle is also good. Running on dark mode has been a great experience. Dark mode option that you can use. The Knowledge on feature is also provided, which you can customize.
The 48-megapixel-clicked pictures have an HD preview option. You can go to the depth of the photo by tapping the photo four times. This is really good.
Speaking of video recording, there are some modes here too. It has movement tracking modes that you may like. You can photographer by putting the phone in this mode, if there is an object moving then you can track it without moving. But it has a limit too. Video recording can do 4K with 60fps.
Speaking of selfies, this smartphone can click Dissent Selfie. The pop up camera has a light that glows. The light will appear as soon as the pop-up camera comes out or the phone is charged. However you can also turn it off from settings. The logic of the company is that people will be able to focus on the camera while taking selfies because of this light. Front camera also clicks photos with good Detail.
Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro has Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 which is 7nm based. It has four power efficiencies. This smartphone has 8GB RAM and here the company has used UFS 2.1 storage. Here’s the Android Pie-based MIUI 10 in the software department. You can also use Poco Launcher in it. I have mostly used it with Poco Launcher and this is good.
This smartphone gives top notch performance. Gaming or multi-tasking, it does not disappoint you everywhere. The phone is fast, smooth and does not feel lag. However, while playing gaming and many apps with it, the phone should not have seen a little lag, which should not have happened.
Talking about multi tasking, Poco launcher works well and switching from one application to another is easy. Open many applications at the same time will keep playing in the background and do not take time to load. The refresh rate is not of Level OnePlus 7 Pro, but a common user does not make any difference to it.
The company should work a bit more on MIUI 10. From icons to pre-installed apps, some changes or refinements are needed. Due to full screen display, our experience in watching videos or gaming has been good. The use of the phone on dark mode is even more spectacular.
There is no major drawback in overall performance and this is a great Shanadar smartphone for mixed use.
Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro has a battery of 4,000mAh. In the box you get a charger of 18W. However, this phone has been supported by Quick Charge 4+. But for that you have to buy a charger from the outside. Shaomi has launched a 27W charger that costs Rs 999.
Talking about backup, my experience in it has been mixed. Despite having a 4,000mAh battery, you get a perfect battery life. Mixed-use backups can be available throughout the day. Even after listening to pubs, videos, active social media accounts and songs, you can also get a backup from morning to night. If the phones use less, then this phone will give you back up to 1.5 days.
Should you buy this smartphone?
Redmi K20 Pro is a great smartphone in this segment. In almost every department, it is immature. There are even more smartphones at this price. But some smartphones have a good display, the performance is good, but the camera is not good. This reduces the reduction – Redmi K20 Pro.
