Reliance Jio Jokes on 6 paise/minute: Reliance Jio hit back at Airtel, Vodafone also sprints in twitter war:
Reliance Jio gave free calling to its users with its launch in September 2016. Equipped with 4G Volte network technology, Jio also benefited from this free calling offer and rapidly increased Reliance Jio’s subscriber base.
However, in the past, Jio has announced to charge IUC (Interconnect Uses Charge) at the rate of 6 paise per minute from its users on the number of Airtel and Vodafone-Idea users. With this, Vodafone-Idea, Airtel and Jio trio crowded on social media and started trolling each other.
Airtel shared a small video clip on social media, pinching the U turn taken by Reliance Jio for free calling. Sharing this video clip, Airtel wrote “For some, unlimited means something else. For us, unlimited voice calls always mean truly unlimited voice calls. Now go to Airtel. ”
For some, unlimited means something else. For us, unlimited voice calls have always meant truly unlimited voice calls. Switch to Airtel now. https://t.co/Xd7kpsF8ky#AbTohSahiChuno pic.twitter.com/eiiKGzmqs9

Relax, there will be no charges on Vodafone calls to other networks. So keep enjoying what we promised you – truly free calls on Vodafone unlimited plans.
— Vodafone (@VodafoneIN) October 10, 2019
The clip shows an equation that says that free does not equal 6 paise per minute. In another tweet, Airtel wrote, “When we say unlimited calling, that’s what we mean.” Airtel’s Vodafone Idea also trolled Jio by tweeting. The Vodafone Idea tweet stated “Relax, there will be no charge for Vodafone calls to other networks. So enjoy what we promised you – really free calls on Vodafone Unlimited plans. ”

As expected, Reliance Jio retaliated against both operators with sequential tweets. Taking a sarcasm at Airtel, Reliance Jio said in a tweet, “As per Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) regulations, every time a Jio customer makes an outgoing call to another operator’s customer as Interconnect Usage Charges (IUC) That operator is paid 6 paise / minute. ”Jio said that in the last three years he has paid about Rs 13,500 crore to the rival network.
